| SDSU Lab Asked To Join Network |

SDSU's Animal Disease Research and Diagnostic Lab has been asked to join the developing National Animal Health Lab Network (NAHLN), a new state/federal partnership to coordinate and cooperate on key diagnostic activities. ADRDL Director David Zeman, who heads SDSU's Department of Veterinary Science, said the invitation was extended because of SDSU's current USDA contract for testing for two prion diseases, chronic wasting disease and scrapie. "Additional opportunities to participate in other national monitor and surveillance campaigns will now be open to us in the future as a member of NAHLN," Zeman said. For the entire story, click here.
